The Happy re-emergence of Millinery!
For WAY to long the amazing art of Millinery had been almost forgotten, only rolled out like a sad old wedding dress during the Spring Racing Carnival, though we should at least be grateful that it at least held onto the last fragments of an almost dying industry until it reached it's inevitable rebirth!
Both for men and women, Millinery has made a swift and very artful comeback! Be it in the form of the always favourite "Fascinater" for the elegant and demure woman right through to the ever popular and always stylish "Fedora" for the man. Hats have made a massive comeback and the SERIOUS fashionista would be wise to not ignore them!

A little something in the wind for Men's Shorts this Summer Season!
I heard a whisper on the wind that this summer, those Male Fashionistas in the know will be steering clear of the 50's style flat fronted Short Shorts that dominated last summer and instead be reaching for nice slim fitting Denim and Drill at or just above the knee Short Pants with a sharp but short turn up at the hem!

The Happy Demise of an Icon for ALL the Wrong Reasons!
Iconic fashion label "Ed Hardy" goes into liquidation AT LONG LAST!!! This "Common As Muck" brand had become so despised by some fashionistas that it had even found it's way onto the "No Entry If......" list at the door of some of Melbourne's trendiest Night Spots!
As well as being worn by all the wrong people the brand also suffered from a great deal of cheap "Knock Off's" flooding the market, thus making it even MORE common!

Welcome to The Melbourne Fashion Watcher
Welcome one and all to what I'm hoping will be a rewarding, educational, critical and often amusing look at both Male and Female Fashion here in Melbourne, Australia's home of well dressed fashionistas, the countries best "Op-Shoppers" and Layer wearers!!
PLEASE feel free to contribute as much as you like, I'd really like to see as much lively discussion on the trends and fashion faux pas of our wonderful city.
Although there will be quite a bit of info on local Designers and their Collections, this will also be a fair forum on the everyday wearable's of everyday folk, featuring pictures, video's and links as well as my own personal opinions on whether they're Hot.....or Not and hopefully your opinions as well.
Ok, lets get the ball rolling.......
